From Work to WERK

Since summer rolled around and I’m a 19 year old university student, you can always find me in one of two states: working, or drunk. I actually work full time during the summer, which is why this blog has been so dead lately – I’m picking up every shift I can, volunteering, and still trying to find time to sleep and shower in between all of that.

I have bills to pay and stuff because I’m (barf) a legal adult now??? with a lease?????? and a credit card bill to pay???????? Who let this happen????????

When I’m not flippin’ burgers at my day job (where I actually make money) or on the internet doing my #blog thing, I’m usually getting ready to go out with my friends.

So what’s a girl to do when you’re off at 8 but the pre’s at 9? Figure out how to take your makeup from “how can I help you, ma’am?” to “uh, can I help you???”

you have two options here: If you’re a certified Makeup Hoe, you can do a pretty full beat, and try to make sure it lasts all day, just throw on some lashes and do some touch ups before you head out. If you don’t wear a lot of makeup on an every day basis, just do a little bit of a face, and then we can add to it later on.

my first tip is to try to keep your base on LOCK. Prime. Set. And then blast it with setting spray. On me, at least, my base is what tends to go the quickest. sometimes I have time to just redo it, most times, I don’t.

Darken your contour and BLIND your highlight. Put it on while your face is still wet from your setting spray until you look like that fake James Charles pic that got him famous.

one of the easiest ways to take your look from day to night is to add some dRaMa to your eyes – if you’re confident in your winged liner skills, add that shit on there ASAP. if not, don’t push it, you don’t have the time to fix it, don’t kid yourself here. Lashes are a godsend, too. I always use Ardell whispies because they’re super easy to apply!

Sometimes, you don’t really have time to do any of that, and that’s okay, I guess, if you plan on buying your own drinks. The BEST and QUICKEST way to add some glam to your face is with a bold lip! This is my personal fav, because then it doesn’t matter if your under eyes are starting to crease or your mascara is flaking off – all of the attention will be on your killer lip. just try not to let it smudge when you’re getting your draaaaaaank on (lipsense, anyone?)

I tried to take pics from last weekend, when I had to do a quick day-to-night for my friend Katie’s birthday, but the only pictures I can find from that night are of me looking scared after we got threatened with a knife outside of the bar, and a selfie of me eating avocado toast when I got home that I do not remember taking (#JustMillenialThings)

Do you have any other fun day to night makeup tips that I might have missed?
