Holy Grail 2.0: Eyes + Lips Edition

(image credit: I couldn’t for the life of me find the original owner so all credit goes to them!)

Following a holy grail face post, you know damn well I had to follow up with my eyes, or else it would just be incomplete and annoying.

My eyes are hands down my favourite feature (okay, maybe not hands down – I do love my red hair.) In fact, today at work, a customer told me I had really striking eyes – he followed it up by saying he’s an artist who does portraits so he’s used to studying faces and my eyes were poppin’, which made it much less creepy but also super flattering.

I live to play up my eyes, and we all know a look isn’t complete without a lippie.

Here’s what I ALWAYS reach for:

I always prime and set using the same concealer and setting powder I mentioned in my Holy Grail Face Products post.

Shadow: The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

will 100% always have my heart. I got it for my 17th birthday – almost two years ago – and it’s still kickin’… I seriously use it every day. Nothing is better. Nothing.

Liquid liner: Kat Von D Tattoo Eyeliner in ‘Trooper’

My friend Jessica always let me borrow her Tattoo liner whenever we went out, so I finally bought my own (… okay, Peter bought it for me, but I picked it out!) It’s SO black and super easy to apply – I can do my everyday winged liner in like 0.5 seconds with this bad boy. Bonus: It’s vegan and cruelty free.

Pencil eyeliner: Makeup Forever AquaXL Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil

If I’m wearing mascara (so,  every day, regardless) I have a black liner in my tightline. I think tightlining is SO important, especially when you’re wearing liquid liner, because it bridges any gaps you might have going on. I love this one from Makeup Forever – it’s super pigmented and creamy. I have it in black, but they have a TON of colours – including white if you wanted to brighten your waterline.

Mascara: Maybelline Lash Sensational

Maybelline mascaras will always have my heart. I LOVE this one – the brush is curved, which makes it super easy to apply. I almost never get clumpy lashes with this one, and it makes my lashes super full and long. I love it!

Brows: E.L.F Eyebrow Kit

I’ve repurchased this more times than I can count. It’s insanely cheap, and I like how it has both a gel and a powder – I can use just the gel, which is what I’ve been doing recently, just the powder, or layer them for a really bold brow. and it’s INSANELY cheap!  I can’t get enough.

Ps; I couldn’t find a picture of the brow kit on their Instagram (ps, follow mine 😉 ) so here’s a really cool picture of some shadows from their Prism Eyeshadow Palette

Matte Nude: Nyx Lip Lingerie in “Lace Detail”

I love this formula, though it feels kinda sticky sometimes – It’s pretty good at staying put. It’s my everyday nude – layered over concealer, with a MAC gloss to top it off.

Gloss: MAC Lip Glass in “Be An Angel, Darling.”

BEST LIP GLOSS I’VE EVER TRIED. it smells amazing. It looks amazing. It’s everything.

Ps; I got mine in a holiday set and I can’t find it on the site????? but I linked to a similar Lipglass called “Angel” … maybe they renamed it? @mac wyd????????

Red Lip: Too Faced Melted Matte in “Lady Balls”

You might have noticed I did a review of the Lipsense shade Blu-red (which I am SERIOUSLY impressed with!) but it’s not as accessible for a lot of my readers – I love this Too Faced one. And I LOVE the shade name!

There you have it, folks!

Obviously there’s tons of products that I love, and I always try to switch things up a bit – but these are my holy grail, I’ll die if I don’t have them products.

are there any other products you think I should put into my rotation? let me know in the comments!
