My Favourite Things About Spring

It’s finally Spring! At least, I think it is? Weather in Canada is insanely unpredictable – I could wear shorts one day and it will be snowing the next! However, at the time of writing this post, it is 11° Celsius and sunny – I need more of this weather!

Here’s my favourite things about Spring to help me celebrate the season…

1. Spring Cleaning

I know this is super weird, but I LOVE to clean. I love when my space is clean and organized and tidy. Spring cleaning gives me a chance to do a complete deep clean of whatever I need to – it’s much easier this year because I live in a dorm, so I don’t have a lot of space to have to clean. Next year, I hope my housemates are ready for my cleaning boot camp. Let’s go, ladies, the floors aren’t gonna scrub themselves!

2. Warm Weather

I get SO cold, SO fast. I remember reading somewhere that redheads get cold quicker or they feel it more intensely or something along those lines. So I guess its genetic? Its nice to not freeze to death anymore.

3. I can walk outside again!

As Most of you probably know, I go to Carleton University, which is infamous for having an underground tunnel system that connects every building on campus. That means as soon as it gets cold, I don’t have to go outdoors… ever. As nice as that sounds, maybe some fresh air and Vitamin D will do me good. I’m so over being a hermit.

4. Bright Colours!

pastels are gorgeous all year round, but I never really appreciate them until it’s spring time

5. My fricken birthday

I’m a May baby, and if you read my “10 things you should probably know about me” list, you’ll know I’m a bit of a narcissist. A day all about me? Yes please!
